A message for our families and clients:
Due to the continuously changing state and local information regarding Covid-19, we are regularly monitoring health and safety guidelines in addition to travel advisories and using these to maintain and update our own safety procedures in the clinic.
If your child feels unwell or displays any Covid-19 symptoms* they should not come into the office for therapy and must instead complete their sessions virtually. Due to the display of symptoms, your child will need a negative Covid test to return to therapy in the office. Should they have a positive Covid test, to return to therapy, they must not have a fever without the use of fever-reducing medications, an improvement of symptoms, and negative test results from a Covid test.
If your child or someone in their household has been exposed to Covid-19, they will transition to teletherapy for a 14 day period OR until a negative Covid test result is obtained (test must be taken at least ten days post exposure).
In regards to travel, in accordance with many projected state and local guidelines, if your child participates in therapy in clinic, they will transition to to teletherapy for a 14 day period OR until a negative Covid test result is obtained (test must be taken seven days post travel/large gathering) if any of the following apply:
- Air travel – if you or anyone in the household is taking or has taken a domestic or international flight
- Attendance at large gathering(s) with people outside your normal “bubble”
If your child or household member have recently travelled or have upcoming travel plans for which the above parameters apply, it is required that you notify KidSense in order for us to provide the safest environment for all. These parameters apply not only to all of our clients, but for each of our staff participating in in-office sessions.
The health and safety of each and every one one of you and our staff is our top priority, so we want to ensure that we are continuing to do all we can to remain safe by taking all necessary precautions.
- One of the following: Fever (temperature 99.4° Fahrenheit or higher), vomiting, diarrhea, rash, new loss of taste or smell, painful purple or red lesions on the feet or swelling of the toes
- Two of the following: Chills, repeated shaking with chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chest pain with deep breathing, sore throat, hoarseness, muscle pain, severe fatigue, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, nausea, headache
