About Me: My professional career as a speech-language pathologist began in 2011. Since the start of my career, I have worked solely with pediatrics and young adults. The majority of my experience is working in specialized and therapeutic educational settings. I have many years of experience teaching, leading, and supporting graduate students and speech-language pathologists in a supervisor role. Throughout my professional years, I have treated a multitude of populations including; Apraxia, Phonological Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Emotionally Disturbed, social pragmatic deficits, expressive & receptive language disorders, stuttering, ADHD, and Down Syndrome. I have extensive experience running social skills groups for children and young adults. During group, we work as a team to social problem solve, interpret and analyze social scenarios, take the perspectives of others, and role-play. A special interest of mine is working with children who utilize alternative and augmentative communication devices. I am passionate about providing children, with all varying levels of ability, the tools to be able to effectively and efficiently communicate their thoughts or share their ideas. There is no greater joy than to support children in finding their voice. I am elated to be rejoining my KidSense family and to work alongside other passionate, energetic, and friendly professionals.
