About Me: As a former professional ballerina and singer/dancer on cruise lines that traveled the world, I knew a desk job wasn’t for me! Occupational Therapy is the ideal intersection of scientific processes and creative intervention, and working in pediatrics means that I get to PLAY for a living (the primary occupation of childhood!). I love to include rhythmic movement and music in my treatment, and can often be heard teaching, “The Sock Song.” My 6+ years of experience in the field have been versatile including rehabilitation of the hand and upper extremity prior to finding my niche in pediatrics, where I have treated primarily in the clinic setting but also in school-based and Birth to Three settings. Areas of specialty include Sensory Integration, Therapeutic Listening, treatment of Feeding/Eating dysfunction, and Splinting. I have three children of my own and am inspired daily by developmental processes and the role I can play in facilitating increased skills, independence, problem-solving, and self-esteem. It is a privilege to support children of all abilities to find their strengths and engage in meaningful activities! I love being an OT!
