About Me: Since 2017, I've had the privilege of working in the field of occupational therapy in both clinical and school-based environments. It has been extremely rewarding and full of positive experiences thus far as a result of working with children with varying diagnoses. While taking the lead on both individual and group based therapy, I've had the pleasure of aiding children with learning disabilities, developmental delays, autism, sensory processing disorder, ADHD, and TBI. Independence in daily life is the goal for each of my clients, which is why I place major emphasis on collaborating with parents and other professionals to ensure transition of learned skill sets from the classroom to other daily environments. Witnessing my clients’ journey in achieving skills that maximize their functional independence and in turn, experience a higher quality of life, serve as a positive reminder of why I chose this profession. Continuous learning is also a top priority as I am always looking for ways to improve my methods or implement breakthrough evidence-based research.
