About Me: Professionally, I have over 9 years of experience working in a variety of settings including inpatient, outpatient, private clinic, and educational as well as with individuals ranging in age from birth- geriatrics. Additionally, I supervise graduate student clinicians within our clinic as well as through a variety of Universities. I am comfortable providing services in both one-to-one and group sessions. I have led numerous Aphasia groups in addition to social cognitive/executive functioning groups. Prior to working full time within the clinical setting, I have provided in-service training on dysphagia to nursing staff and also have worked as an early intervention specialist with Birth to Three providing in-home therapy to children diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum. I have a great deal of experience with children who need therapy for articulation, receptive/expressive language, dysfluency, auditory processing, pragmatics, and swallowing. I am one of the members of our Feeding Team here at KidSense. I also provide parent support and education to ensure successful achievement of functional goals within our clinic as well as outside our clinic. I enjoy using a variety of materials and approaches within my sessions, being sure that the resources are relevant and motivating to the child. The focus of my therapy is mainly based on the philosophies of Michelle Garcia Winner's Social Thinking® as well as Sarah Ward & Kristen Jacobsen's Executive Functioning and I am constantly finding ways to implement them more into my everyday therapies as well as within my own family life. I am motivated to constantly learn and grow. When I'm not working, I love spending time with my husband and two daughters, as well as our dog and two cats.
