About Me: I have various experiences working with people of all ages and capacities. I started my career as a Home Health Aide catering to the needs of the elderly and disabled. After giving birth to my youngest child I switched gears and began volunteering at Jericho Partnership, an organization in Danbury, CT that services at-risk children and by extension their families. They offer clinical services as well as education and tutors. There I volunteered as Front Office Reception for a bit before moving into Teaching. I followed my need to help others and found myself working for UCEDA Language Institute. A school dedicated to helping immigrants learn English as well as education on American Culture. There I began as an English Tutor and worked my way into becoming an ESL Teacher. I provided inclusive lesson plans as well as conversation practice. I also offered Citizenship Preparation tutoring for those students starting or already in the process of Naturalization or becoming a Citizen of the USA. My students were mostly working adults. Due to that, I presented my lessons in unique, fun, and interactive ways often incorporating field trips and our diversity through food to instill a family-like environment. Due to COVID-19, the school lost lots of students and I was forced to switch from teaching adults to becoming a Headstart Teacher at CIFC Headstart located in Danbury, CT. I spent a little over a year at that organization working with children of varying degrees of development. Working with children aging from 6 months to 5 years old, I helped in implementing safe hygiene practices, preparation for public school, monitored safe play and social skills incorporating the beliefs of the values of CIFC. During that time I had been pursuing my Certificates and job opportunities in the medical field. Once again due to COVID-19, I began looking for employment. That's when I found Kidsense Therapy Group. An organization dedicated to helping the community by helping its children and families. I fell in love with the values and drive to change the world, one child, at a time as well as their mutual desire to help their community. Their desire to make themselves a part of the community and the various services they offer inspired me to become a member of this wonderful group of professionals. Their attention to their families and personalized service plan ensures that each person that walks through their doors becomes part of the Kidsense family. I couldn’t be more excited or happier to be a part of their growth and can’t wait to see what the future holds.
