About Me: I have been working with children and families for over 15 years. "It's not easy to be a child or a parent at present. Today’s society places many stressors on individual children and the family as a whole. We are seeing an increase in the social emotional needs of children earlier and earlier in childhood." I believe in creating a loving, safe and healing environment for all children and their families that meets the client where they are at in the healing process. I have spent over 13 years working in the Public School setting with children from the ages of 2.5 to 18 years of age. Working in the public school setting has afforded me the opportunity to see concerns as they arise in individual students, groups and families and has resulted in extensive experience working with a diverse population and a multitude of needs. I have completed additional training in Play Therapy techniques, CBT and obtained Certification in Toddler and Infant Mental Health. I had the great fortune of spending my childhood in Minnesota and Montana. You could say I am a "country girl at heart." I can be found exploring the great outdoors with my 9 year old daughter or working on our next DIY project. I love animals and miss my horses out West greatly. I currently have three dogs that I fondly refer to as "Small, Medium and Large."
