I was so worried before my son started kindergarten and I asked for a meeting with the school and I received so much support from the team at KidSense and we worked as a team to be sure we covered all the bases with the school to ensure my son was the focus and all his needs were being met from an occupational therapy standpoint. “KidSense is fun and you can do a lot of activities, and the people there are super nice! There's always something to do and you're never bored. It's a safe place and you never have to feel embarrassed. OT has helped me with staying in control and learning to do stuff like writing. I love obstacle courses like, "Floor is Lava," and mini games. I will miss the activities and laughing with my therapists, but I'm proud that I worked hard and reached my goals."

“We’ve moved around a lot over the last 5 years for my job. For me as a person, it’s not difficult. I learned to compartmentalize at a young age and not be affected by change. However, having a son who may or may not be on the Spectrum has deemed difficult in the fact that change disrupts him immensely. My wife took on the burden of trying to make everything right and getting the best help which really took a toll on her and our everyday functions. As parents it seems that even though you do your research, study, and explore all options, you fail when trying to get your child the help they need but above all deserve so they can function through life. “Seeing our 9-month-old continue to struggle with eating solids was concerning for us as parents. While our pediatrician was not supportive of considering tongue tie as a possible cause, we were referred to KidSense.

We are so thankful for the support and guidance Michelle provided. Michelle directed us to a pediatric ENT who diagnosed our daughter with a significant tie. We elected to have the release procedure and saw almost immediate results. Michelle provided positive and reassuring support pre and post-procedure to us as parents in addition to patient and sensitive care to our therapy-shy daughter.
